Child Welfare & Family Services Family stability is significantly and positively impacted when mental health and substance abuse issues are identified and effectively managed with wraparound services and pro-social skills development. Offered in Cook County, Madison County, St. Clair County Funded by Illinois Department of Children and Family Services Under contract with the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), TASC provides intensive case management services to substance-abusing parents involved in the child welfare system. The primary goal is to achieve permanency. Parents whose children have been placed in foster care because of charges of neglect or abuse are referred to TASC, which utilizes a strengths-based case management approach to promote retention in treatment and aftercare services. TASC moves clients through a full continuum of social services and reports their progress to the court and child welfare agencies. TASC also makes formal recommendations regarding family permanency and continues case management services post-permanency. Offered in Cook County Funded by Illinois Department of Children and Family Services Intensive, therapeutic case management and wraparound services for children in foster care, TASC's System of Care program works with caregivers, community-based providers, schools, and other individuals or systems in the child's life to assist in the stabilization of emotional and behavioral disorders that threaten foster-care placements. Chicago Housing Authority – Westhaven (Public Housing Services) Offered in Chicago Funded by Chicago Housing Authority TASC provides needs assessments and case management services to Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) residents at the Henry Horner Homes who are being relocated to new developments. Using a strength-based approach, TASC identifies opportunities and barriers to successful lease compliance and assists with relocation, transition, and stabilization in new residences. |
